Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about finding and booking public tee times in South Carolina.

About SC Tee Times
Never. Every Book Now button on this site goes directly to the course's own tee sheet. You pay exactly what the course charges — no platform fees, no service charges, no markups. That is the whole point.
GolfNow and similar platforms add booking fees on top of what the course charges, sometimes $3–$6 or more per round. SC Tee Times is a directory, not a booking platform. We do not process your payment or take a cut. We show you the course, show you the real price, and send you directly to the course to book. No middleman.
We manually verify every course listing every 90 days. Prices shown reflect the all-in rate including cart fee where applicable. Golf pricing changes seasonally, so always confirm the current rate directly with the course before heading out. The Book Now link will always show you the live rate.
Pick your market (Charleston, Hilton Head, or Myrtle Beach) from the tabs on the home page. Use the filters to sort by price, area, or distance. When you find a course you want to play, click Book Now and you'll land directly on that course's own tee sheet. That's it.
Hilton Head Golf
Yes. The vast majority of Hilton Head courses are open to the public with no stay required. Harbour Town, Atlantic Dunes, and Heron Point at Sea Pines are all publicly bookable. All six Bluffton courses we list are fully public. A handful of courses do have limited access policies, which we note where applicable.
Hilton Head Island courses sit on the island itself. Most are resort-adjacent, run higher in price ($100–$700+), and offer premium coastal settings. Bluffton courses are just across the bridge on the mainland. They're typically $50–$130, in excellent condition, and offer far better value. Both areas are worth playing. Bluffton just does not carry the island premium.
Charleston Golf
Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms has two public courses: the Links Course and the Harbor Course, ranging from $129–$279. There are no public courses on Sullivan's Island itself. Patriots Point Links in Mt. Pleasant is the closest public option to the barrier islands and offers great value by comparison at $99–$125.
Booking & Pricing
Click Book Now on any course listing on this site. You'll go directly to that course's own booking page. Not GolfNow, not a third-party aggregator. Pay what the course charges, with no booking fees or service charges. If a third-party platform appears, you can also call the course directly to book.
Where possible, yes. Prices shown reflect the all-in rate including cart fee. Some courses price walking and cart separately. When in doubt, the Book Now link will always show you the exact current breakdown. We recommend confirming with the course if you plan to walk.
Many SC courses offer twilight rates, typically starting 3–4 hours before sunset and running 30–50% less than morning rates. We're working on adding twilight rate information to course listings. In the meantime, check directly with the course or on their booking page for current twilight availability and cutoff times.
Many SC courses offer local or resident rates for golfers who live in the area, typically at lower rates than the standard public price. We're working on adding local rate information to course listings. In the meantime, check directly with the course to ask about any resident discounts or local programs they offer.
