Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about finding and booking public tee times in South Carolina.

Booking & Fees

No. SC Tee Times never charges booking fees. Every Book Now link goes directly to the course's own tee sheet. You pay exactly what the course charges. Nothing more.

Where possible, yes. Prices shown reflect the all-in rate including cart fee. Some courses price walking and cart separately. When in doubt, the Book Now link will always show you the exact current breakdown. We recommend confirming with the course if you plan to walk.

Click the Book Now button on any course listing. You'll land directly on that course's own booking page — no third-party platform, no added fees. Pay the rate you see on our site.

We manually verify pricing every 90 days. Prices shown reflect the all-in rate including cart fee where applicable. Golf pricing does change seasonally, so always confirm the current rate directly with the course before booking.

SC Tee Times is a free directory of public golf courses in South Carolina. We list courses across Charleston, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Myrtle Beach, and Columbia with verified green fee ranges and direct booking links. We don't charge fees, we don't require accounts, and we don't mark up prices. Every Book Now link goes straight to the course's own tee sheet.

Hilton Head

Yes. Many Hilton Head courses are fully open to the public with no resort stay required. A handful of courses do have limited access policies, which we note where applicable.

Hilton Head Island courses are on the island itself. Most are resort-adjacent, tend to run higher in price, and offer a premium coastal setting. Bluffton courses are just off the island on the mainland and generally offer better value, typically $50–$130, with quality conditions and less tourist markup.

Myrtle Beach

Public golf in Myrtle Beach typically runs $30–$150+ depending on the course, season, and time of day. Myrtle Beach has the highest concentration of public courses in South Carolina — over 100 within the Grand Strand region. Off-peak and shoulder-season rates (fall and winter) drop significantly compared to peak spring and summer pricing. Use the filters on our Myrtle Beach page to compare rates, then book directly with the course. No booking fees.

Columbia

Columbia has a solid mix of public and semi-private courses accessible to all golfers. Options range from LinRick Golf Course, Columbia's municipal layout, to Cobblestone Park in Blythewood — one of the top-ranked public courses in the state with 27 holes. Green fees across the Columbia market typically run $32–$110 depending on the course and time of day. See our Columbia page for the full list with direct booking links.

Yes. The Lake Murray corridor west of Columbia has several strong options. Timberlake Country Club in Chapin sits right on the lake and offers a scenic semi-private layout with public access. Cobblestone Park and The Windermere Club in Blythewood are also within easy range. All three are listed on our Columbia page with current pricing and direct booking links.

Local Rates & Discounts

Many SC courses offer twilight rates, typically starting 3–4 hours before sunset and running 30–50% less than morning rates. We're working on adding twilight rate information to course listings. In the meantime, check directly with the course or on their booking page for current availability.

Many SC courses offer local or resident rates for golfers who live in the area. We're working on adding local rate information to course listings. In the meantime, check directly with the course to ask about any resident discounts or local programs they offer.
